Brazilian Themed Waterfall Birthday Cake!

I was asked to make a Brazilian Themed Waterfall Cake for a Birthday get together with some old friends by Kristin in East Berlin, PA.  She wanted something to go along with the memories of there trip to Brazil where they all met for the first time.  Everything design wise was left up to me and she was very happy with the results.  Her Comment can be found on our website http://www.bearheartbaking.com/ under the photo album link.  Just look for Kristin East Berlin, PA under the comment.  Here is how the Cake turned out!

The little Toucan at the top of the cake was my favorite!  He was added last and sort of blends in with the rocks unless you are looking at it just right!  The waterfall is definitely the highlight of the cake.  It took 4 cakes to get the height for this Waterfall Cake.  The fondant flowers go all the way around the Waterfall.  The rocks and boulders were so fun to make out of fondant as well. 

The top of the cake looking down definitely shows another side to the waterfall.  The peaceful calm waters at the top flowing over the side just before crashing into the rocks along the way and at the bottom.
